Our History
Passion for Excellence, Driven by Innovation
Kurubis was founded in 2004, born from the meeting between Rached LAGHA, a landowner in Korba, and Didier CORNILLON, a French oenologist. Their ambition was to produce exceptional-quality wines that were modern and creative. In 2005, the first vintages were released: Kurubis red and white, Soltane, and "K," Tunisia's first sparkling wine.
The arrival of Jalel SOUISSI in 2021 marked a turning point with the brand's expansion and major innovations such as Nature, the first wine without added sulfites, and Wine Shot in 2023, reaffirming Kurubis' commitment to constant innovation.

Expertise & Craftsmanship
Respect and Expression of the Terroir
At Kurubis, the quality of the wine begins with the quality of the grape. In close collaboration with our partner winegrowers, we ensure the perfect ripeness of the harvest, which is picked in crates to preserve the integrity of the grapes. After sorting and destemming, the grapes are cooled to prevent oxidation and preserve their aromas.
The winemaking process takes place in temperature-controlled tanks for reds, while whites and rosés undergo pressing in pneumatic presses at low temperatures. After fermentation at a controlled temperature, the wine is racked, and maturation occurs in stainless steel tanks or oak barrels, allowing the wine to refine. Reds are aged longer to soften their tannins. The final blend combines grape varieties and vintages to create our unique cuvées.
According to Didier Cornillon, founder: "The expression of our terroir and the precision of our winemaking are at the heart of our creations, especially with our 'Wine Shot' cuvées."
